Yes, you're given a lot of information in this class. You get your money's worth! Even if you've sewn before you will learn in this class.
You're not told what you have to sew. It's more fun to make what you want so you feel a sense of pride when you finish sewing your project.
In the cutting class you learn how to cut out your project properly. Learn how to place the pattern pieces on the fabric the right way and learn about fabric. If you make a mistake in cutting it can cost you money.
You must bring with you to class an easy pattern, fabric and anything needed for your first sewing project (listed on the back of the pattern envelope).

Remember to wash your fabric to preshrink it before the class begins. There's nothing worse than making clothing, wearing it once, washing it only to not have it fit again.
This class runs 1 1/2hrs to 2hrs depending on how long it takes you to cut your project.
No sewing machines needed, only cutting.

Sewing Classes are 2 hours to Learn how to sew your projects or different sewing techniques including alterations.
You decide what you want to learn to sew from sewing your pattern you cut out in the cutting class to learning to alter your clothing. You start on your own level and learn what you want by sewing the elements (zippers, buttonhole, welt pockets) you want to learn in your project.
You must bring your project to class with you ~ clothing if you want to learn to alter and thread to match, pattern/fabric already cut out with thread, zippers, buttons, interfacing, elastic and anything required to make your project. All equipment is supplied except the project you want to sew.
Because of my small class sizes you can sew what you want and learn by watching other people sewing their projects.
This class you take as many times as you want to learn different things. Sewing classes have the same weekly schedule.
The more sewing hours you buy for the sewing class the less you pay.
This is a fun class to attend that the time just fly's by. This is why 4 hour classes are scheduled.

The basic order to sewing clothes
Tools used in sewing
The seam ripper is our best friend
